Stone crushing industry is an important industrial sector in the country engaged in producing crushed stone of various sizes depending upon the requirement which acts as raw material for various construction activities such as construction of roads, highways, bridges, buildings, and canals etc. It is estimated that there are over 12,000 stone crusher units in India. The number is expected to grow further keeping in view the future plans for development of infrastructure of roads, canals and buildings that are required for overall development of the country. In India, the Stone Crushing Industry sector is estimated to have an annual turnover of Rs. 5000 crore and is therefore an economically important sector.
Project Objective:
The primary objective of this project is to establish a stone crushing plant in India. The project is aimed at producing crushed stone of various sizes depending upon the requirement which can be used as raw material for various construction activities such as construction of roads, highways, bridges, buildings, and canals etc. The second objective is to provide employment opportunities to the local population and contribute to the overall development of the region.
Market Potential:
The demand for crushed stone will continue to grow with the growth of its user industry. One of the major drivers for the growth of the crushed stone market is the increase in construction activities globally. Construction projects require various sizes of crushed stone for different applications. The growing demand for infrastructure development and increasing urbanization are also expected to boost the growth of the market. Moreover, increasing investment in the construction industry is expected to create significant opportunities for the market players in the coming years.
Location of the Project:
The proposed location for the project is a 4-acre plot of land near the industrial area of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. The area is well connected to major cities and towns of the state, and has good transportation facilities. The location is also strategically advantageous as it is near to the major construction projects that are currently underway in the region.
Technical Aspects:
The plant will consist of a primary jaw crusher, a secondary cone crusher, a vibrating screen, and a conveyor system. The raw material will be fed into the primary jaw crusher to reduce the size of the stone to a size that can be further processed in the secondary cone crusher. The crushed stone will be screened to separate the sizes required for different applications. The conveyor system will be used to transport the crushed stone to the storage area.
